Six Quirks (Only Six?)

Number One
I count stuff, like how many license plate registrations are expired and how many steps down to the shed (100).
Number Two
I like bright colored tights but hardly ever wear them, hence a drawer full if you ever need them.
Number Three
I have decided to only wear black from now on.
Number Four
I love butter on saltine crackers. When I was very much younger I would take a whole long package, butter them, stack them one on top of the other and when my mother wasn't home, I would take them upstairs and eat them ALL while I watched I Love Lucy.
Number Five
I love to polish bowling balls.
Number Six
I adore playing "Who Can Hit the Other Person With the Most Black Nibs" game with Kurt.

Lips courtesy of Mary Deane.
What are Ann's quirks? Megan's quirks? Ben's, Olivia's, oh yes, Ryan's, Katy's, Jacob's, Ashley's, Brian's, Brendon's, and Craig could you keep it to six, please?

Mary Deane Arrives!

Another miracle. Mary Deane is so tiny that once Ann got the head out the rest of the body came flying out with her! We are so grateful mother and daughter are doing well and father was a great coach and comforter through the whole event. She has big eyes and long skinny arms and legs and long fingers. Ann was amazing through the whole experience. We know Gramma Andrew is smiling on her namesake today!

Banner Day at the Shed

It was an exciting Wednesday as we had a visitor at the shed! Ann came up for some embroidery instruction. We had a nice visit. She is still cooking that baby!

Shed Sweet Shed

Here is our view from the shed.

The kitchen. Notice the bread on the table from Ruth. Even here she continues to bless our lives.

The bathroom with the water heater from China. It heats all the water in the shed only when needed. Very cool!

Where we rest our heads.

The sitting area with a view of the valley.

Ken and Mary Ann Kartchner blessed us with twenty seven days in their shed. That is what they call it although it is far from being a shed as you can see. We are grateful for their willingness to let us stay here. The view reminds us of home and all 650 square feet are perfect for the empty nesters.

Don't Save the Best for Last

O.K. We are knee deep in boxes, tape, everything strewn from here to kingdom come and I find flowers in the middle of the table for breakfast. If I had died this morning I would be happy because I had flowers on my table. I have learned this from Kurt, never put off enjoying the moment. Eat the good chocolate today. Wear your new socks today.
Don't save the best for last.

The Master Cake Maker

Yes, this is the DAY OF the wedding but Ben was cool as a cucumber while he finished the cake and withstood thousands of suggestions from the crowd. It was a hit!

The Night Before

Here is the master flower man at work for the last child to be married. And here is the kitchen during the cake making event. Wish us both luck!

Surprise Olympic Visit!

We enjoyed surprise visits from Ashley and Brian (in the dark background) and Eli, of course, (asleep) and Ann and Brendon. We will miss these drop in visits!

Still Celebrating!

We are still enjoying the wedding day that brought Ben and Olivia together as well as all of you. Thank you again for coming and being with us. That is just about as good as it gets! Love you!

Deer for Ryan

We have two baby deer that hang around our place. They are pretty cute but lose their charm when they eat your tomatoes! They also eat the apricots and spit out the pits.
So, Ryan, here are the cute deer I saw while talking to you!

Destresser

Here I am cleaning out my drawers. I have had this face mud for at least 10 years. It is suppose to be a destresser. I will let you know.
PS Jordan, Smurf memories?
