Among the Flowers

After hugging the kids the first thing I notice as we enter the house are the small white vases on the ledge dividing the kitchen from the living room holding the silhouetted stems with red berries. The living room smelled of the freesias sitting on the table separating Grandma Fae's two blue chairs. And behind all this beauty is Jordan. Happy birthday to our daughter that is blessed with her father's constant sense of atmosphere and the uplifting idea that "If from thy mortal goods thou are bereft and from thy slender store two loaves alone to thee are left, sell one and with the dole, buy hyacinths to feed thy soul." So, thank you for always feeding my soul, whether it is from the flowers or your words, I'm always full! Love you,
MOM
