My father died when I was only 31. We both knew that would happen because he was 50 when I was born. But it is still difficult to have him gone so soon in my life. You take these pictures, not really realizing how important it would be. He had his stroke just months before Katy was born. Here he is holding Katy only a few months after she was born. Can you see the enthusiasm for life in his eyes even though it was drastically changed in a moments time?

That would be like having you or dad die within the next year for me! How sad.

I am excited to be able to talk with him.

I look forward to getting to know him, too. I love reading the "Tell Me Another One Grandpa" stories. What a wonderful legacy to leave.
